Chocolate
Fountains for Valentine's
If you are looking for something
that will add a great deal of fun and entertainment
to your next party, consider using chocolate fountains.
Let the fun flow. These nifty fountains provide hours
of fun and good food that will entertain young and old
alike.
Chocolate fountains are very
adaptable in their usefulness. You can use them for
different events; they provide excellent children’s
fun at birthday parties, scouting events, church functions,
and for other occasions. You are only limited with a
fountain by your imagination.
These great little machines are
not only for kids fun, grown ups can have fun with them
at brunches, for Mother’s day, seasonal parties
and celebrations, weddings, and just for a romantic
snack for two after the little one’s have gone
to bed. These nifty chocolate fountains are quite the
versatile party tools.
Another note about chocolate
fountains that many people overlook is that they are
not limited to only chocolate fondue. While I have a
serious love affair with chocolate and it may be hard
for me to look past that, in order to be completely
fair to these really cool machines I must mention the
fact that they can be used with cheese sauces, caramel,
barbecue sauce, anything that you can find a fondue
mix for, these fountains should be able to handle.
So what do you dip in the chocolate
fountain? Well this question depends largely on the
particular sauce you are using. For my purposes, I’m
thinking chocolate and the possibilities are positively
yummy. First of all, skewers are the way to go so that
you do not have sticky fingers; I also recommend a healthy
supply of some sort of moist wipes nearby (baby wipes
work well in this situation for cleaning both messy
fingers and messy faces).
Now that we have in mind which
tool we are going to use for dipping, here are a few
suggestions that just go well with chocolate and chocolate
fountains:
1) Pineapple chunks, these are especially delicious
with dark chocolate for some reason, I even like to
sprinkle coconut on top while the chocolate is still
soft.
2) Apple bits that have been cut into nice big chunky
pieces are great with chocolate. If you’re really
brave try having several fondue fountains with different
flavored chocolates (white, dark, milk) and double or
triple dip your apple chunks.
3) Cookies such as Oreos, Nutter Butters, you want to
use hard cookies that won’t easily crumble in
the as the crumbs can block the flow of the chocolate
through the fountain.
4) Pieces of fudge. Combining and contrasting flavors
work really well in a fountain. Try orange fudge with
dark chocolate fondue or maple fudge with a milk chocolate
fondue.
5) My personal fountain favorite however is the marshmallow.
This works really well for kid’s parties. Let
the kids have three jumbo marshmallows on their skewers
to dip in the fountain, and provide sprinkles of many
colors for them to play with. This can be especially
fun with white chocolate fondue in the wintertime. You
can let kids make and decorate a snowman of their very
own to eat.
As I’ve said, when it comes
to fondue and chocolate fountains, we are only limited
by our imaginations. Watch the kids at the party and
see what combinations they come up with. Sometimes the
imaginations of children can spark such fun among us
stodgy adults that have forgotten just how great kids
fun really is.
