Valentine's
for Children

Valentine
Be Mine
Young love - Do you remember the days when you had
a crush on someone? Maybe you had a secret admirer?
Children get excited when Valentine's comes around.
It is a time when they can send a little message to
their sweetheart without being embarrassed. They call
it puppy love!
Do
you know you have a secret admirer? In England, Valentine's
are sent without a signature (anonymous) and the receiver
has to try to guess who sent the Valentine to them.
Valentine
Cards - Make your own Valentine cards. Cut out
different sized heart shapes in different colors (fold
paper in half and cut out one side of a heart on the
fold). This helps to achieve a perfect heart. Sprinkle
on glitter in the shape of a heart. Use Valentine
stickers to add little more life.
Valentine's
Disco - One way to help children to have a nice
Valentine is to throw a Valentines Disco/Party. Puppy
Love is sure to be seen on the dance floor. Add a
little fun at the disco/party by having a bubble machine,
a chocolate fountain, some balloons, Valentine decorations,
special Valentine chocolates and candy.
Pass
the Parcel - Play pass the parcel. Wrap a big
heart shaped box of chocolates in loads of wrapped
layers so that each child playing has a chance to
take a layer of wrapping off.
Pinata
-Make your own heart shaped mexican pinata. To make
it heart shaped you will need a heart shaped balloon.
Fill the pinata with special Valentines sweets.
Chocolate
Dice Game - This game is full of fun, laughter
and be very filling depending on your luck.
The items you will need are a hat, a scarf, a pair
of gloves or mittens, a dice (a big dice works best),
a plate, a knife, a fork and most of all a big bar
of chocolate.
Have
the children sit is a circle on the floor around the
plate with the chocolate bar (unbroken), knife and
fork. The first player roles the dice and if a six
is rolled that player has to put on the hat, scarf,
and gloves. Then picks up the knife and fork and cut
off a piece of chocolate and keeps cutting and eating
as much as s/he can until the next person rolls a
six. While the person is cutting and eating the dice
continues to be rolled. As soon as another player
rolls a six that person grabs the hat, scarf, gloves,
knife and fork and digs in the chocolate until the
next six is rolled. This game continues until all
the chocolate has been eaten or until you are sick
of chocolate. Have fun!
Teddy
bears always make a special present for your little
sweeties.
